Service Type – De-Winterization

De-winterization by a professional mechanic catches many potential issues that can arise during your summer fun. Please schedule your de-winterization service early, because scheduling options become very limited starting in early May.

Boat Services performed:

  • – Install drain plugs in the motor, v-drive, exhaust manifold, and heat exchanger.
  • – Hook up hoses (Heater, shower, trans-cooler, water pump, etc).
  • – Run engine in shop on engine flusher (water cooling source), check for fuel, oil, and water leaks.
  • – Verify operation of gauges, charging, ballast, lights, bilge, accessories, and check main electrical systems.
  • – We test engine cooling on the hose. This catches 95% of bad impellers. Our service department recommends impeller replacement every season to ensure proper engine cooling and protect your motor. Manufacturer recommendations vary (Example Tigé recommends impeller changes every 50 hours or once a year).

Trailer inspection:

  • – Torque lug nuts
  • – Check tire pressure
  • – Top off brake fluid level
  • – Inspect lights

Other services to consider when you get your oil changed:

  • – Fluid Change (Manufacturer’s recommended duration or annually)
  • – Tune up (every 300 hours on a new boat)
  • – Prop refurbish (as needed based on condition of the prop)
  • – Impeller replacement (annually or every 50 hours)

We offer mobile pick up and delivery when booking service, within 30 miles roundtrip for $199.
